On 22 August 2022, the European Commission approved the Interreg Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Programme (POCTEP) 2021-2027. The cooperation area is located in the extreme south-west of the EU and is close to the border between Spain and Portugal which is one of the longest in Europe, with a total of 1,234 km. It is the largest cross-border cooperation programme in the European Union, with a total budget of 427 million euros and ERDF support for project of 299 million.
CoFFEE-Interreg is the information system that supports the management of this cooperation programme for the period 2021-2027.
