What is it and what is it for?

IRIS

IRIS is a centralised web application at the Government Comptroller's Office (IGAE) that makes it possible for a management centre to send files to the respective regional or territorial auditing office (IRIS Dispatches – Auditing Offices system) or to the Underdirectorate General for Auditing (IRIS Dispatches – Underdirectorate General Auditing and Accounting) and for the latter or the Underdirectorate General for Auditing, respectively, to return them, attaching the auditing result, in accordance with the procedure established in Royal Decree 686/2005, of 10 June 2005

The IRIS application is designed to support the paper-free handling of files and incorporates an approved e-signature for this purpose. For signed documents, the system will check that the document matches the different signatures, and report on whether or not the certificate and the main information have been revoked.

IRIS makes it possible to establish a single point of communication between management bodies with the auditing work required for the purposes of e-documentation.
